Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her professional career as an actor on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in several Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. That same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise made her debut as a performer in Hollywood with God's Little Acre a drama which was made in 1958. She was Griselda, a character in the movie. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career between Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious roles, as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also been an acclaimed director of well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision for the lead role.
