Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid's mother is Chinese and was raised within Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn is from the American South. Olivia was only two when her parents split up. She was raised by her stepfather as well as her mother who was an United States Air Force member. Although the family departed Oklahoma and stayed in various places, she was brought up in Tokyo, Japan. In Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theater performances and then became a Japanese fashion model. Olivia has relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfil her dream to be an actor and continued working towards her goal after the family returned to America.
