Hayley Orrantia, an American performer, actress and songwriter. Most people know the name as Erica Goldberg, from the television comedy 'The Goldbergs. Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. She maintains that music is her primary passion. It's something she is experimenting in since the age of nine years old. When she was 12, music became serious enough for her to pursue a career in music. The year 2013 saw her take the plunge into songwriting and made her first album. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia is a native of America, but has Hispanic heritage. Despite the fact that she only spoke English growing up and had never visited Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic origins. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs, she strives to maintain the spirit of her culture. 'Hasta Verte' a song she composed in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia auditioned, and was chosen through YouTube videos, received an average of four "yeses," from judges who were in Seattle at the time of live auditions. She initially auditioned for "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. But, three other female vocalists as well as her were grouped together to perform other songs. The group was eliminated at the 5th week of the live performance.
